Legal advice for debt collection in Verona
Veronica Donella has always had a great love for English-speaking countries, a passion that prompted her to travel to South Africa at the age of 17 and finish high school there, obtaining her high school diploma in English.
Private international law
She enrolled in the law school in Trento, which had a transnational study programme, allowing her to take some courses in legal subjects with foreign professors and to sit her exams directly in English.
Her thesis was entitled "Law of damages in English law", and she spent time at King's College in London studying the maxims of English jurisprudence relating to this subject directly from texts present at the prestigious legal university library.
Returning to the University of Trento, she obtained her Master's degree in transnational law in 1995.
International law and debt collection
After obtaining her Master's degree, Veronica focused entirely on the sector she felt called to, namely international law, with an emphasis on immigration law.
With her participation in international lawyer networks and conferences in the sector, her Verona law firm has assisted several Italian companies in bankruptcy procedures abroad, debt collection cases and cases of contractual default. She also provides out-of-court consultation in negotiations for purchases of property, companies and machinery, and works to settle disputes before they lead to court proceedings.
Assistance in commercial and corporate law for large multinational companies
Numerous foreign colleagues (from Portugal, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands) have relied on Veronica Donella to resolve legal issues in Italy, allowing them considerable professional growth and the opportunity to follow interesting cases regarding commercial and corporate law.
For several years, she has provided legal assistance for an important English-owned multinational amusement-park company which manages attractions in Italy. During this experience, Veronica attended the top management meetings and dealt with questions of English and Italian corporate and commercial law, including the incorporation of companies.
She is currently in charge of debt collection throughout Italy, and therefore serves as Italian representative for a large Canadian company dealing with worldwide debt collection.
